Review Of Spira Defence An Excellent Android Game
Now I love Android tower defence games and have played most of them. (Hope this is in your own time – Ed!)
They all follow a similar pattern and most of the time I complete the free version and uninstall. Very, very, occasionally will I purchase a full game and there are only two or three that I return to play again months after playing it the first time.
Spira defence by Craig Hart is one of those games I will play for a few weeks, then not touch for 3 months. It is a tower defence game but with a nice twist twist, it rewards you for NOT spending your money, ideal for a Scotsman

The graphics are a bit basic, but that just adds to the charm. There are 6 types of Tower, but only 5 places to put them in.
The two main weapons are Rapid and Chain Towers with the others being more supplementary towers that you'd use in addition to your main defence.
Some people may disagree with me (and I’d love your thoughts) but there are only two types of Enemy, those that spiral and those that come directly to your central base.
Each level the enemies hit points increase and your towers dutifully try to destroy them.
You get money for each enemy that is destroyed and you can spend your money to upgrade your towers.
However if you keep your money, you actually earn interest on it, allowing you to amass a stockpile of cash.
The trick, as in life, is knowing when to spend and when to save.
Verdict
Overall a excellent little game, one of the best games available for Android!
Pros And Cons
Time to compete: still trying!
Time to boredom: still playing!
