Warning: A New Virus is demanding £100 to remove itself

A new virus claiming to be a fine of £100 from Strathclyde and the Met Police is hitting computers all over Perthshire.

Since Saturday, we have been innudated with infected computers and phone calls from people asking if they have to pay the £100 fine to either or both police forces.

The answer is NEITHER as it is a total scam!!

The infections seem to be coming from sites that are offering access to films, sporting events or other seemingly too good to be true offers.

If you are infected, switch off your computer asap and take it to a reputable computer shop as the current anti-virus software does not have a cure/prevention as yet
