Ancient Game With Modern Technology Twist And It’s FREE
We all need a bit of distraction and chill time but as we all know, it’s not always that easy.
A large part of our work as computer repair engineers is problem solving and trying to identify some very elusive computer behaviour/fault which only the owner has seen/suffered. This requires a great deal of skill, time and patience.
To quote an old saying or two, ‘Unable to see the Wood For The Trees” and “A Break Is A Good As a Rest” At this point you are probably wondering where this is going but please let me explain.
Keeping the mind active and working is part of the key to healthy living but there needs to be a balance and in our view this game is a very nice way to do that.
I was dismissive at first when Donald, our Chief Engineer, suggested it but not surprised as he is a VERY good & keen gamer BUT I have to publicly admit that he is right, again
Although I'm sure Royal Mail would like a revival, I'm pretty sure we can all agree that the days of correspondence chess are gone. However there is new life to be lived in this leisurely paced way of playing perhaps the oldest of strategy games.

Marrying old and new we have www.redhotpawn.com allowing users to play chess with friends or strangers as quickly or as slowly as u like.
Emails with direct-to-the-game links are sent with every move, and the game itself is played entirely in a browser, allowing moves to be made on laptops, computers, smart phones and tablets.

The site us ad supported or subscription based and the choice is completely up to you, the ads are present on the main pages and only occasionally are they in your face.
The PC Solutions staff have been playing for a few weeks now but all are enjoying it, here's what they think......
A great way to interact with fellow staff members and keeps the mind sharp at the same time!
